Hey, where’d my medicine go?

One of POV’s newest clients is Huber Engineered Materials, a division of J. M. Huber Corporation. And one of Huber’s newest products is a fast-melt excipient, an ingredient in drug tablets that speeds medication to the human system.

Maybe you’ve heard of fast-melt drug products, such as Claritin RediTab or Benadryl FastMelt. They enable anyone who has difficulty swallowing to take oral medication because fast-melt tablets dissolve on the tongue in just seconds.

Huber Engineered Materials’ RxCIPIENTSTM FM1000 excipient takes fast-melt technology to the next level. Because the tablet is stronger, it doesn’t require the specialty manufacturing or packaging that current fast-melt tablets need. So drug companies can save lots of money and add fast-melt to more products.

That’s a significant development for pharmaceuticals. When it came time to launch the new product, Huber turned to POV for help with messaging, marketing collateral and trade show display.

This month, Huber rolls out its fast-melt offering. In the months and years to come, that fast-melt tablet in your mouth just might be the product of a fellow POV client.
