Summertime means baseball, watermelon and of course, summer internships. POV has joined in this time-honored summer ritual by welcoming its first-ever intern, Carleen McCarty.

But lest you think we’re content to follow along a well-worn path ... Carleen is no ordinary student intern. She’s a mom of three kids (plus one cat) whose past vocations have included legal secretary, office manager, waitress, restaurateur and ski bum.

After a good soul searching, Carleen realized she had a true passion for design. She is studying design at Creative Circus, where her favorite instructor is POV’s own Kathleen Turaski.

Carleen is a member of the student chapter of AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) and she has won several awards in student design shows.

This summer, Carleen will be assisting POV’s design team and learning as much as she can about brand communications for business.
